The functional parts of collections and expositions.
The expositions “systematicum” presents a systematic collection of plants. The plants (basically plants, trees of Altay flora) are placed according to their families in radial sectors: the monocotyledonous plants are in the centre of the collection and Compositae are situated closer to the perimeter.

The exposition “Arboretum” is built on the basis of inhabiting of the definite trees and shrubs in the vegetable communities which is typical for the Altay territory.

The plants damaged from rotting in the conditions of Barnaul are presented on the alpine mountain.

The exposition of “plants requiring shade” such as rowan trees, lime-trees and fir-trees can be found under the slope of the birch - pine wood.

The collection of the garden contains 1587 taxons (962 species, 625 forms and sorts). Among them:
• the systematic collection is presented by 350 (50 – monocotyledonous; 300 - dicotyledonous);
• 270 species (80 – monocotyledonous; 190 - dicotyledonous) grow on the alpine mountain;
• 160 species (25 – monocotyledonous; 105 – dicotyledonous; 30 – vascular, having spores) grow in the shady area;
• 165 species (25 – nonseminal; 140 – seminal plants) and 46 sorts are presented in Arboretum;
• the collection of decorative plants is presented by: day-lily (2 species; 60 sorts), iris (95 sorts), peony (3 species; 29 sorts), astilba (2 species; 12 sorts), chrysanthemum (3 sorts; 2 forms), larkspur (7 species; 8 sorts), tulips (300 sorts), daffodils (50 sorts), lily (38 sorts), muscari (3 species, 10 sorts).
• the collections of annuals contain 120 samples such famous species as tagetes, Eschscholzia and others;
• the collection of biennials is presented by 200 samples from 33 families.
